NO MELT, Australian made, Pet Treats for the World!!!

It can be difficult to understand new innovations sometimes. It can be even harder to adopt them especially in the Dog Treat and Horse Treat world!

But, if you can take a step back and consider what is new, sometimes you will see how much better things have been developed.

I say this because the team at Huds and Toke have developed an amazing new innovation which really changes the way Specialty dog treats and baked Pet treats are sold around the country.

It seems like such a simple innovation, however it really sets the Huds and Toke products apart from the others.

The innovation I am talking about is the NO MELT frosting.

The Coating which has traditionally been used has some issues.

1. It melts with a bit of heat.
2. It smudges

Why are these important I hear you ask?..........Well, who wants a treat to stain the carpet or smudge on the floor when inevitably your little mate drops it first to look at it???  

Plus, who likes getting sticky fingers or mess on their hands???

It's ok!  We don't either!

The Huds and Toke NO MELT frosting will not make a mess of you or of your house!

Further to this, our new NO MELT frosting has much better HEALTH BENEFITS than the old stuff!

All New Molasses Horse Bix by Huds and Toke

The team at Huds and Toke have just created, and now launching, a new flavor in the Horse Bix range.

We make these great Horse Treats with real Molasses..........and we are super excited by it!!!

We took this........

And made it into these awesome looking Horse Treats.

Why are Homemade, Handmade, Dog Treats Better for your pet?

Anything homemade seems to be great!  

We all know how good grandmas cooking is???  Have you ever wondered why?

Homemade usually means hand made as well..... and that means dedication to the outcome!

The reason Homemade is better is because of the intent of which the item has behind it being made!

It’s the relentless pursuit of quality over quantity with an intent to make the best you can by using only top quality ingredients, and then further to this, not skimping on the process…..

That's what Grandma adheres too.....even if she is modest and says she doesn't know how she makes such good tasting food!!!

Huds and Toke make our treats with a proven process and ensuring we finish them off all by hand………. You see…….we believe it’s really important to input one “Super Important” ingredient…….and that is the human factor!!!!

By getting people to actually help make and finish our products it means people get a real pride in what they are doing. 

They get a feel for what’s right……and what’s wrong…….and then they can solve the problems before they become problems…….They get a real ownership for what is being produced…..AND that is the human factor we believe is just so important.

This illustrates some of the thought which goes into our pursuit of quality and our desire to make things as good as any home-made goodie could be!

It sounds amazing that there are businesses still out there whom genuinely care about the quality of the products they present to the world……But there are! Believe me, we aren’t the only ones……. But it is getting harder to find them!

You see, the world with which we live at present seems to be intent on pushing out as much product as you can for the cheapest possible cost using the cheapest possible ingredients via the fastest amount of time!

And, if this is happening, there is absolutely no intent behind the products to form the basis of the quality.

The process is solely time driven……not quality driven……and machines almost seem to dictate the process entirely……..

Huds and Toke really strive to ensure our products follow a strict path from the start to the finish. We routinely inspect every part of the process and we create with the end in mind….. That’s why our products are amazing.

With regards to ingredients, the reason why home Made products seem to always taste better is because they also do not tend to have the same preservatives added....... There are many reasons for artificial flavorings and preservatives but a lot of it is simply driven, once again, by the time factor as well as ease factor....... It's always better to have less chemicals!

We don’t take short cuts to play the volume game!

Yes, we do produce more than a home kitchen can…… and yes, we do supply stores nationally, and yes, we are a growing national brand…… however, we are not aiming to be the biggest……we are striving to be the best!

That’s why all our products are made specifically for dogs, horses, rabbits or whatever animal they are designed for…….  They are not made from a generic short bread full of butter and sugar just so the dough can go through a massive outsourced factories machine!!!!

Noooooo…… we take the higher path, and the more difficult one I might add, and then we make it work. If that means more elbow grease, and more time….. then so-be-it…….

So next time you are making your signature Spaghetti Bolognaise and your guests compliment you about how it’s better than any restaurant; Or the next time you are cooking that Roast which makes the family almost cry because they never get sick of the amazing tastes only you seem to get………….well…..remember……This is the same intent we put into all of our treats…….AND that’s why Home-made, handmade, is always the best.

Huds and Toke were featured in an article written by our friends at Bupa recently.

You know the insurance guys? They not only offer health insurances but also a really comprehensive Pet Insurance Product as well.
